In the most vulnerable comunas of Medellín, we use martial arts as a psychosocial tool against violence — protecting children and youth and building a new generation of community leaders.
We seek to improve the quality of life of children and youth through martial arts.
We promote social development and peace in Colombia.
We believe in the power of discipline through recreation.— Fundación CAMAR
In Medellín's comunas, violence is a daily reality. CAMAR offers a structured, evidence-based alternative validated by international organizations.
Children and youth in vulnerable comunas face forced recruitment, school dropout and social exclusion. In the absence of structured alternatives, violence becomes the most accessible community.
Martial arts are our psychosocial intervention tool. Each class builds discipline, emotional self-control, respect and conflict resolution skills — the exact values that protect against radicalization.
Programs like UNICEF Kenya (↓34% aggressive behavior), UN Women Jordan (↑42% self-efficacy) and Fight for Peace Brazil (↓40% criminal activity) validate this model worldwide.
The 7 principles of Bushido are the cornerstone of our training philosophy.
Doing what is right even when no one is watching.
Honoring others by recognizing their dignity.
Acting bravely in the face of adversity.
Keeping one's word and principles at all times.
Helping those who need it the most.
Being transparent in every action and decision.
Committed to our community and purpose.
